On the whole, white wines are best for matching with light dishes such as minestrone, fish, aperitifs and cheeses. However, not all whites pair equally well with the same food.
The good structure and sweet/tart balance of Bach Extrísimo Semi Dulce make this white wine an ideal pairing for desserts, cold dishes and salty foods.<0} {0><}0{>Furthermore, if the latter are with foie, for example “Apple preserve with foie”, the explosion of flavours is supreme.
With brilliance and clarity, Bach Extrísimo Semi Dulce has been made from two grape varietals, Xarel-lo and Macabeo from the high Penedés region, which give it its long meaty finish.
MATCHING WITH BACH EXTRÍSIMO SEMI DULCE
Ingredients for 4 people:
4 apples
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
½ stick of cinnamon
port wine
foie
Maldon salt
butter
Preparation:
Chop the apples into small cubes and sauter with butter in a frying pan, add the sugar, the cinnamon plus a dash of port wine and stir until they attains a puree texture. To make the aperitif, spread a little bit of apple preserve at the bottom, a piece of foie on top and sprinkle with Maldon salt.
